Permane’s comments are getting on my nerves. Really, really angry.
"I don’t want to speak ill of him, because Kimi has been absolutely fantastic for us, he really has. You can see the last two races he has qualified poorly and he’s been on the podium. But that can’t happen always. You have to be able to qualify well and race well and there’s no doubt he races well. But he doesn’t have the greatest of qualifying speed and, if next year the tyres get a bit harder, maybe he’ll struggle a little bit more." (x)
and then he goes on to brag about how good Romain is. I appreciate and is happy that Romain is, in the past few races (mind you, especially after Kimi announced he’s leaving), getting good results in qualifying and now races but to brag so much about it? Especially at the expense of dissing Kimi? Fuck off.
I’m utterly unhappy with the team now. I used to thank them so much for bringing Kimi back, giving him a good car and let him win races. Now, just because he left because of the financial situation, they started to give out comments which put him down.
I hope Kimi keeps getting more points so Lotus has to owe him more money.
It looks like the Lotus desperately wants to show that departure of Kimi does not hurt them, that Romain is excellent in every way and will be a great team leader next year, so they don’t need Kimi to succeed. Lotus members’ statements are addressed to potential sponsors to convince them to invest in the team. They will now boast Romain and depreciate Kimi. It is sad.
