I just don’t feel like going. They’ve asked me often. During my first years in F1 I really wanted to participate, but I never got permission while I drove for McLaren. If the race was similar to what it used to be in the Canary islands where they drove on sand and tarmac with rally cars and others, I would join immediately. Now when it’s in stadiums it’s a such a Mickey Mouse show that it’s nothing like it used to be. I’ve made a suggestion to the organizers that they would change it back to the old format and then I would be interested in participating.
